It was a bumpy ride, but it was worth it. SiGMA 2023 started to unroll in Limassol, Cyprus, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and the breathtaking sea views that could enthrall even the most indifferent person who'd visited resorts dozens of times. To enchant the attendees even further, the organizers provided an astounding venue: City of Dreams Mediterranean, Europe's first integrated resort, casino, and entertainment, was destined to strike hard and make you crave for more. Venue
Two words: luxury incarnate.
While the exterior and interior of the resort can safely be described as minimalist, refined, and elegant, you still get the impression that it is another hotel de luxe, built on the island of Cyprus, aiming to depress your wallet but please your eyes and treat your body right. Alas, we didn't come here for a Spa day, but if you survived the ordeal of finding a taxi that would take you to the world of cushy life, you were rewarded with first-rate quality service.
The place offers a wide selection of options you can try, but as mere conference attendees, we were welcome to enjoy the casino, the drinks, the talks, and the spirit of business soaring across the booths. The booths, by the way, were scattered across the entire hotel, and there was some logic in it: the crypto section, situated in the ballroom and to the left, provided excellent opportunities for high-quality comparison and research, the gambling and betting floor would distract you with bright colors, tiny chocolates, and drinks, and all types of casinos, a trifle deeper into the ground level, became a bombshell of the conference. If you heard music, caught the air of a giveaway in progress, saw girls hitting the floor and posing for a photo — that's where it was happening. However, you didn't even have to limit yourself to work: luxury lovers could explore luxury brands and independent designers in one of the boutiques within the confinement of the resort.
SiGMA
We all came here for networking but stayed for the atmosphere. It's naturally hard to leave when everybody's giving you free snacks, cocktails, and merch you can wear daily. Some of the options were more useful than others: if you're staying in Cyprus for long, make sure to grab a baseball cap and a branded bottle; tensed guests could relish an antistress ball to alleviate the anxiety; and the most practical ones came for hoodies, shirts, and shoppers. Not surprising the booths ran out of them pretty quickly!
Although all such conferences prioritize networking and encourage people to participate in such sessions, SiGMA combined the educational and relaxation parts. When they say that party isn't an option and it does not pertain to an international event of this scale, they're always lying. Attendees who felt emotionally drained could snatch a glass of Aperol and stretch their limbs on a bean bag outside the hotel while listening to the DJ beat. Of course, you shouldn't feel obliged to show off your best dance moves, but it's always nice to simply languish on a lawn, shaking your head to the music.
More vigorous webmasters were welcome to join a talk on the most vital problems of today's world: AI, organic brand building, business development, and other exciting discussions took place on the second floor of the resort.
During the first day, speakers, instrumental in all sorts of business, gave presentations of their observations regarding the market and the affiliate marketing business in general: In a 3-minute interim, they were allowed to highlight the main ideas and dwell on the upcoming trends and new approaches that should be speculated on, or even implemented into the strategies. The second day was dedicated to longer panel talks that inspired a discussion among the audience. Enrich yourself with knowledge, and get back to networking — that sounds pretty much a motto.

Wrapping Up
Every conference is special in its own way: some are bigger than others, or have more opportunities, or offer exclusive merch, or arrange a mind-blowing party, or… You can endlessly go on and mention potentially unique traits and offers provided by organizers. SiGMA Balkans/CIS may not be the grandest conference out there but it gracefully balances sheer entertainment and business profit, giving you time for strenuous work and pleasant relaxation. The languid air of Cyprus made the atmosphere less strained: if any of the attendees felt embarrassed to start a networking session due to inner sheepishness at the beginning, by noon, this apprehension disappeared, giving way to newer opportunities and brighter horizons. Do what you must, it silently claimed, and you shall be rewarded.
